How to Download the Binance Desktop Client on Windows

2026-03-04 · Install and Setup · 17

Windows is many people's primary device for work and entertainment, and installing the Binance desktop client on it for trading is very convenient. Compared to Mac, the installation process on Windows is actually even more straightforward. This article will cover everything from download to installation to first use, explaining every step clearly.

If you haven't registered a Binance account yet, we recommend completing registration first through our referral link to get signup bonuses. The client download link can be found at the download page, supporting Windows and other platforms.

Pre-Download Preparation

Check System Requirements

The Binance Windows client supports Windows 7 and above, including Windows 10 and Windows 11. Most computers purchased in recent years will fully meet the requirements.

How to check your Windows version: Right-click the "This PC" icon on your desktop and select "Properties" to see your system version. Alternatively, press Win+R, type "winver," and press Enter.

Ensure a Stable Network Connection

Downloading the installation package requires a stable internet connection. The installer is approximately 100–200 MB in size and should download within a few minutes at normal speeds.

Downloading the Binance Windows Client

Step 1: Open Your Browser

We recommend using Chrome, Edge, or Firefox. After opening the browser, visit the official Binance website.

Step 2: Find the Download Page

On the Binance website, look for the "Download" entry point. It's usually found in the page footer or navigation menu. You can also go directly to the official download page for quick access to the download page.

Step 3: Select the Windows Version

The download page displays options for different platforms. Click "Windows" to begin the download. The system will automatically download a .exe installer file.

Step 4: Wait for the Download to Complete

Your browser's bottom bar or download manager will show the download progress. Once complete, the installer file is typically saved in your "Downloads" folder.

Some browsers may display a security warning — this is because browsers perform security checks on all newly downloaded .exe files. As long as you confirmed you downloaded from the official channel, it's safe to proceed.

Installing the Binance Client

Step 1: Run the Installer

Locate the downloaded installer file and double-click to run it. The filename is usually "BinanceSetup.exe" or something similar.

Step 2: Handle the UAC Prompt

Windows may display a "User Account Control" (UAC) dialog asking whether to allow this app to make changes to your device. Click "Yes" to continue.

Step 3: Choose the Installation Path

After the installer launches, you can select the installation location. The default path is usually the Program Files folder on your C drive. If C drive space is tight, click "Browse" to select a different drive. For most users though, the default path works fine.

Step 4: Begin Installation

Click the "Install" button, and the program will start copying files and configuring the environment. Installation typically takes just one or two minutes. A success message appears when the progress bar completes.

Step 5: Finish Installation

Click the "Finish" button. The installer will create a desktop shortcut, and you can also find the Binance client in the Start menu.

First Launch and Login

Step 1: Launch the Client

Double-click the Binance icon on your desktop. The first launch may take about ten seconds as the program initializes and connects to the server.

Step 2: Select Language

If the interface appears in a language you don't prefer, you can switch languages on the login page or in settings. The language option is usually in the upper right or upper left corner.

Step 3: Log Into Your Account

Enter your Binance account (email or phone number) and password. If you've enabled two-factor authentication, you'll also need to enter a verification code.

Step 4: Complete Security Verification

During login, you may need to complete a puzzle verification or other human verification. Follow the prompts. If this is a new device's first login, Binance may send an email to your registered address — you'll need to click the confirmation link in the email.

Client Interface Overview

After a successful login, you'll see the Binance client's main interface. Here's a quick overview of each section:

Home/Overview: Displays your asset summary, trending coins, top gainers and losers, and other market information.

Markets: View real-time prices, percentage changes, and volumes for various trading pairs. You can filter by categories like USDT pairs, BTC pairs, etc.

Trade: This is the core functional area. Inside you'll find candlestick charts, the order book, and the order placement panel. Supports spot trading, margin trading, and more.

Futures: For perpetual and delivery futures contract trading. Includes both USDT-margined and coin-margined contracts.

Wallet: View and manage all your assets across spot, futures, and funding accounts. Deposit and withdrawal operations are also done here.

Customization Options

The Binance client offers many customizable settings:

Theme switching: Supports dark mode and light mode. Traders typically prefer dark mode, which is easier on the eyes — especially during extended chart-watching sessions.

Chart settings: Customize candlestick chart color schemes (for example, red for up and green for down, or vice versa), default time frames, frequently used technical indicators, and more.

Notification settings: Set up price alerts. When a specific coin reaches your target price, a desktop notification will pop up. This feature is invaluable for people who don't want to watch charts all day.

Keyboard shortcuts: The Binance client supports keyboard shortcuts for improved efficiency — quick trading pair switching, rapid order placement, and more.

Windows Firewall Settings

During the first launch after installation, Windows Firewall may prompt you to allow the Binance client through the firewall. Select "Allow access." If you accidentally clicked deny, you can manually add it in "Control Panel > System and Security > Windows Firewall > Allowed apps."

Keeping the Client Updated

Binance regularly releases new versions with bug fixes and new features. The client typically checks for updates automatically on startup and prompts you when a new version is available. We recommend updating promptly for the best experience and security.

If automatic updating fails, you can manually download the latest installer from the official website. Running the new installer will automatically overwrite the old version. Your login information and personal settings are usually preserved.

Multi-Monitor Setup

If your computer is connected to multiple monitors, the Binance client can take full advantage of this. Place the main trading interface on one screen and chart analysis on another. Some users even open multiple Binance windows to simultaneously monitor different trading pairs.

Uninstallation

If you need to uninstall the Binance client, the process is the same as any other Windows program: go to "Settings > Apps > Installed apps" (Windows 11) or "Control Panel > Programs and Features" (Windows 10), find Binance, and click Uninstall.

Overall, installing and using the Binance desktop client on Windows is a very simple process — the whole thing takes under ten minutes. The expansive view a large screen provides makes trading analysis much more comfortable, and we recommend every Windows user give it a try.
